Hi everyone,
I would like to know If there Is any way to index Files and Folders. For example, If I want to check all the folders inside my documents without open it. Or if I want to display all my files in my webprogramming folder like I  in Launchy.
Thank you,

Hi Rimanere,

You can index files and folders by typing options as a keyword and then clicking Auto Catalog in the left pane.  When the Automatic Catalog opens, click the Add folder button to add folders that you want to index.

I wouldn't recommend indexing too many files and folders, as this will clutter up your Command List.  One method that I use is to open a folder with Keybreeze, such as My Documents.  When the folder opens in Windows Explorer, just start typing the file you want to launch, and then press Enter when it's highlighted in Windows Explorer.

The next beta version will have a feature that lets you type update index into Keybreeze, which will remove keywords to files that no longer exist and add keywords to newly created files.  This version should be released by the end of January.

Update:  The beta version will be released by the end of February.  I am sorry for the delay.

I just started using Keybreeze and have been a bit disappointed.  I added my documents folder to the autocatalog, as well as my programs file folder.  However, I still cannot get Keybreeze to automatically access some programs (such as Wordperfect or Adobe Reader) or open specific folder.

I understand that I can add these individually, but such manual effort makes the program less useful and certainly not as attractive as other launchers I have tried.

Any suggestions on how to get this program to index these files and directories?

Finally, is there anyway to quickly and easily add abbreviations for certain actions?  For instance, I just want to type wp for "wordperfect" (if I can get it running at all).

Thanks.

Yes -- when you are typing a keyword, just right-click the item in the autocomplete list (or press Ctrl + M) and click Edit.  You can then rename Word Perfect to wp, or wp word perfect.  You can also rename keywords or change their targets by typing list as a keyword.

I'm not sure why the Auto-Catalog is not picking up Word Perfect, but you should be able to manually add a keyword to it just by right-clicking the icon on your Desktop or in your Start Menu.  After you right-click it, click Add keyword to Keybreeze.

I understand that this takes time, which is why the next version of Keybreeze will have a completely new method of indexing files and folders.  The Auto-catalog feature will be replaced by a more accurate and efficient update index preset keyword.
