I'm curious to know if anyone has any ideas on how to write a macro that would quickly switch to Outlook and generate a new task or email.  My primary problem is the switching part:  I don't really want to just launch Outlook from keybreeze, since that would result in multiple windows being open.  Additionally, Outlook has a different header bar depending on what folder is selected, making quick tabs difficult.  Any suggestions?

Another related question would be, are there any ways to do conditional macros?  For example, if Outlook wasn't open, open it?

Thanks!

You might find something for the command line. There is a list at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HP012185891033.aspx#4. The "/recycle" and "/c ipm.note" switches look promising.

You can open a new e-mail message with the To field already filled in by using the m letter command.

Example:  press the hotkey and type m bob@spambob.com.

If Outlook is your default e-mail client, then the above command will open a new e-mail message with bob@spambob.com filled in the To field.
