This seems to happen so far only when an IE window is open. Never happened to me with previous versions.

It'll be fine for a while and then for no reason that I can find, when I hit the hotkey, Keybreeze will flash on for a split-second and disappear. Hitting the hotkey again will bring it back up solidly. When I'm just working on my desktop it always appears and holds.

This isn't a major thing except that I can't type well and am often looking at the keyboard, unaware that Keybreeze isn't open.

Update: It's doing it on the desktop now too without any open windows, however, the problem still isn't consistent.

Update2: Keybreeze functions I have tried such as list, restart, transparency etc. won't open/initiate without a second hit on the hotkey. I also noticed when adding to the command list, the list window would hang much longer than in previous versions. Don't know yet if this behavior is universal.

Update3: I've had to give up on the current version and roll back to 3.1.1. Too much affected.

Similar problems here. Most of the problems are not reproducable
Where can I find the 3.1.1-version since 3.5 beta gives to much headache.

Hello picard,

It is for situations like this that I keep a previous copy of programs I try. I believe only the latest version is kept here.
There's a 100 kb upload limit here otherwise...

Going strictly by file size (no other way to identify) download.com could still be offering what they say they are, 3.1.1

http://www.download.com/Keybreeze/3000-2344_4-10070830.html

Before you experiment, to hang on to your preferences, be sure to back up the folders in your Keybreeze folder (probably not all of them, but I do it anyway) as well as:
C:\Documents and Settings\(your name)\Application Data\Keybreeze Data
(I'm on XP. Don't know about others.)
Then overwrite them after install. If I've forgotten something, maybe someone else could chime in.

I hope I'm not violating any rules by offering this. Certainly not my intention. Just trying to help.

Sorry for the trouble.  You can download the latest stable release at www.keybreeze.com/download.  Keyreeze 3.5 Beta 2 will be released in the next couple days.

Thanks for the link to the latest stable version.  Smiley

Meanwhile I found some reproducable problems (my hotkey is [):
1. I have a Text-function defined called UID
It works normal when I am in a text-document but on www.google.com it only works when I hit the  [ once more.
   Eg [uid<entre> [
2. When I use [+space it wil show the [-sign but it also will disable Keybreeze for some time.
Keybreeze is enabled by hitting the <enter>-key.
3. When I use 's 123456789012' (or any other 12-characterstring) to start a Google-search, the new-keyword dialog is displayed.
Other searches  will start the google-search.

Finally got around to installing beta 2.
So far everything seems to be working properly.

Thank you so much.

Beta2 fixed all my reported problems.  Cheesy
Thanks
