Adding keywords don't pre-fill directory structures correctly.

Instead of:
  • c:\program files\program\program.exe (correct)

it is preloading with

  • \program files\program\program.exe (incorrect)

Minor, subtle, irritating enough to make me complain.

Cheers.

I'm not quite sure what you mean.  Are you adding a keyword with the target of \program files\program\program.exe, and you are expecting Keybreeze to put the C:\ in there?  This won't happen automatically, but if you put a ? as the drive letter, as in ?:\program files, it should replace the ? with the default Windows hard drive letter when you launch the keyword.

Pardon the lack of clarity. Let me reiterate.

Program: Keybreeze 3.5
Platform: Windows XP Professional SP3

Scenario:

Attempting to add a keyword to open a program, call it sillybounce.exe. If I type in sillybounce.exe, it tries to load up a webpage. Not cool, but whatever. If I type in sillybounce, Keybreeze File Search launches and runs. This is okay, but the search doesn't use correct directory structure? Explanation below.

Steps:

1. Open keybreeze dialog box, type in "sillybounce" (to search for sillybounce.exe) and [enter]
2. Popup: Keybreeze "not in command list" dialog
3. Click "search my computer for files and folders matching that keyword" button
4. Popup: Keybreeze File Search window, listing any matches to "sillybounce"
5. In the file/folder display area, the panel "In Folder" displays the directories it might be in, i.e.: "\program files\silly\sillybounce.exe" INSTEAD OF "c:\program files\silly\sillybounce.exe" (where the file is actually located)
6. Select "\program files\silly\sillybounce.exe" line and click "Add Keyword" button
7. Popup: Add entry to Keybreeze window
8. Pre-filled sections are-

  Keyword: sillybounce
  Target: \program files\silly\sillybounce.exe

(INSTEAD of c:\program files\silly\sillybounce.exe)
9. click Ok button processes the keyword, but the keyword "sillybounce" now attempts to open up a webpage via browser rather than hitting the file on local hard drive.

That's the problem.

Also, though I picked "do not open in current tabs/window" option, every internet address I type in opens up in a tabbed window (I want it to open in a NEW window).

Hope this clarifies things; thanks for all your great work (I'm downgrading until these minor issues get fixed up) -- Keybreeze is a speed demon otherwise.

Cheers,
Shaharris

P.S. Possible that this issue is linked to the problem described in this post: http://keybreeze.com/forums/index.php/topic,212.0.html

(would super appreciate if you'd make available the latest stable version- -- else there's some googling to be had!)

Again, I don't TYPE IN:

\blahblah\blahblah\blah.exe and expect the program to convert it to c:\blahblah\etc.

I search for a command, blah.exe and when the program finds it and displays it, I click on the "Add Keyword" button -- for the target, it will automatically prefill:

\blahblah\blahblah\blah.exe

instead of

c:\blahblah\blahblah\blah.exe

So it makes the added keyword not work.
