I have the latest KB installed.

This is bizarre.
I deleted an entry thru the launcher. Directly above that entry was a weblink keyworded "Bank of America". Later, when I typed in "ba" (lowercase) in the launcher I got the word "bank" (also lowercase). When I tried to launch it I got the window "The keyword you typed is not on the command list...". The word "bank" by itself doesn't even exist on the command list even though it displayed in the dropdown.

So, I opened the list and my original "Bank of America" entry was still there. Then, I did a little experimenting and found that any name starting with an uppercase B associated with that url won't work anymore. It won't even display in the dropdown. For instance, "bank of america" works but "Bank" won't. It doesn't show.

I cleared autocomplete. No change.

Other weblinks with keywords that start with an uppercase B still work. I've never seen KB balk at a single entry like this or be case sensitive before.

I give up. What else should I try?

Hasn't anyone any suggestions? This problem is so specific and obscure (at least to me) that I'm at a loss as to what to do next.

I've had the same problem with certain files. I have no idea why. One day it works, then after using a similar name as a keyword for another file, the original quits working. The only solution I've found is to rename the shortcut. If it was ba (for Bank Of America), try bnk.  Good luck.

Thanks writenow.

Yeah, I've had to rename here too. Good to know I'm not the only one. To me it defies logic to have it happen so selectively. But what do I know? For me it seemed to only happen with that entry in that spelling on that list line.

It's not a big deal except that it's vexing and with my bad memory I've got to remember a less than intuitive change. Still, wouldn't trade KB for anything else.
