Windows 7 RC 1 64 bit install problem...

Hello,

I am a pro-user. Just upgraded one of my machines from XP to Windows 7 RC 64 bit. During installation, right after I confirmed the hotkey I would be using, I get:

Runtime error 339

"Component 'MSCOMCT2.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid."

Go here:

Download that file and put it in the keybreeze directory. You don't need to follow all of the other steps listed there, and I probably wouldn't.

Had the same problem and that fixed it.

Edit: You will also need this file: http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/support_dll.phtml?dllname=COMDLG32.OCX to get to the options dialog to not crash the system.

There is an installer that will install all of the common ocx files on that page as well. I didn't use it as I don't want it to overwrite any of the newer ones, but it may be an option.

Thanks for your response however I am leery of installing anything from the site you linked to:
ascentive.com. Lots of claims of Spyware and fraudulent billing practices about this company. Don't know what is valid or not but doesn't seem worth the risk.
