i would like to see a preset keyword called "eject drive".  i know this isn't very useful, but it would be cool to show off to friends -- just press a few keys to have the cd drive magically open.

It is possible, but you'll have to do a few things Undecided.

1. get nircmd (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/nircmd.html).
2. Put the exe in your WINDOWS directory
3. find a PIF file. (There should be plenty in the windows dir. They have icons that say msdos and under the "type" column, they are listed as "shortcut to msdos")
4. copy the PIF to the windows dir and rename it to your choosing (i.e. opene).
5. Right click the PIF and go to properties
6. go to program tab.
7. in the cmd line box, type, without quotes, "cmd /k nircmd.exe cdrom open e:", where e is the target drive.
8. apply and exit.
9. create a keyword to that PIF

Hopefully you understood that. If not, feel free to ask!

BTW: there are many things that one can do with nircmd in this fashion, explore!

Yeah, actually that post is a bit outdated. Now you can just use a macro and the cmd plugin to do all of this.

No problem. You still need NirCMD though...I guess I forgot to mention that. Here it is anyway:

- get nircmd, put all the files in the zip into the WINDOWS directory
- install the cmd plugin if you dont already have it
- type "macros [create]" in keybreeze, press enter
- one possible way of writing the macro is:
Code:
<keybreeze cmd,"nircmd.exe cdrom open e:"><delay 50>exit<enter>
You can adjust the delay and drive letter to whatever you want and whatever works
- now save the macro and follow the instructions given in the save macro dialog box that pops up

Now use your new keyword and it should work
