I know I am probably overlooking something easy, but how can I disable the startup Tips screen on Windows boot in Vista?  There's no "Do not show again" check box and I can't find it in the Options or in my startup and it's not in my registry Run. Vista's moved crap around and I'm not sure where else it would be.

TIA

There's currently not a way to disable the Keybreeze tips at startup.  Once the final version of 3.0 is released, the tips window will display more information, such as usage statistics and the license structure.  Since Keybreeze has an additional license that is required for commercial use, I would like the user to see the commercial license notification before using the program.

I know that this might be annoying, but commercial licenses are the only financial support for Keybreeze; they are crucial for the maintenance and future development of the program.

Hi Andrew,

I'd urge you to reconsider this decision of a forced nag screen (that's what this ends up being; the fact that keybreeze is free for home use makes it all the more aggravating).  For many of us users this kills the software.  To many of us such forced popups are nothing short of chinese water torture... Wink  It is precisely this reason why I've long ago stopped using SmartFTP, even though it is superior to most FTP clients out there.

Of course I empathize with your situation, and understand how this may help with motivating commercial licences.  At the very least, how about at least softening the nuisance level?  Say, trigger the popup every 10 invocations or so... this alone would be a large help.  Or better yet, have the popup come up every time, but have it auto-disappear after, say, 10 seconds... as long as it doesn't require human intervention/clicking.  As it is, I and probably others already have tons of other popups to "go through and click" every darned time we logon, because other authors thought likewise, and considered that a single popup is a minor nuisance (same rationale put forth by spammers, and we all know how that works out in the end).

I think I'll end up creating a keybreeze macro to handle all of my "log on clickings", but there's just something wrong with using a package to overcome a nuisance with that very same package...  Wink

Are you freaking kidding me? This application is incredible, and you're complaining about a tiny tips screen... he told you why it's there and it's a completely reasonable answer. So suck it up or find another application without a tips screen... but, this app is one of a kind and free... hmm... ... chinese water torture? my god man, suck it up and show some gratitude.

Andrew, i'm more than happy to look at a tip screen for this application. It's amazing that the only price for this app is a minor nuisance, your a good guy... thank you.
