I'm coming from Launchy and similar launcher programs. One feature I really miss is the ability to use the Windows keys as modifiers to launch keybreeze, which the other launchers allowed. From time to time I use Emacs heavily, which generally tends to have a key binding for all key combinations using the usual modifiers (i.e., Shift, Ctrl, Alt), so the ability to setup keybindings for the launcher program outside those of such key-hungry apps is very useful.
Are there any plans in adding Win key to the list of modifiers?

I wasn't planning on adding the Windows Key as a modifier, but it could be done some time in the near future. I would still encourage you to use the semicolon hotkey. It may take a while to get used to, but it's the easiest on your hands and provides the quickest access to Keybreeze.
And when you need to type a semicolon, you can use any of the following methods:
Press the semicolon twice
Pressing the semicolon and then pressing the space bar will simulate the same event in the text box ("; ")
Pressing the semicolon and then pressing Enter can simulate the same thing in the text area, which is very useful for C++ and Java programmers.

I've been trying to adjust to the semicolon hotkey, but it is taking some time, and disorienting. But I will give it a 30 day trial, see if it sticks.
But in the 3.0 beta that I am using (downloaded yesterday or the day before), the ;<space> combination does not work properly. Rather than insert a semicolon, a space, and hide keybreeze, the key combo instead simply inserts a space into keybreeze commandline, and keybreeze stays up awaiting further input. The other semicolon combos work properly (i.e., ;; and ;<enter>). And yes, the appropriate checkbox is checked in options, under Hotkey panel.

You can fix this by opening the Options window (press the hotkey and type options as a keyword). Click the QuickTab link in the left-panel, and click (Hotkey) + Space bar in the listbox. The value for this should be "Insert Hotkey into text field." If the value is set to nothing, it will not work.
When a user performs a clean install of Keybreeze, this option is checked by default, so the Hotkey + Space bar feature should work right off the bat. I'm assuming you may have upgraded to the newest version of Keybreeze. If so, the current QuickTab setting for Hotkey + space bar may have been previously set to something else.
Please let me know if the Semicolon + Space feature still does not work.

Ah, that fixed it (going into Quicktab and editing). Oddly enough all of the entries in Quicktab panel point to Nothing. I think it's because I've gone to 2.11, and then back to the 3.0 beta a few times, I guess the settings from 2.11 stayed behind and perhaps lacked Quick Tab setting, causing 3.0 beta to interpret the missing entries as blank. Is there a way that I could "reset" the Quick Tab settings to 3.0 beta defaults, without reseting the rest of my configuration perhaps?
BTW, thanks for the helpful replies, Andrew, and great job on keybreeze overall. Although it may still have a few rough unpolished corners (at least compared to something like Launchy), it is far more powerful and more importantly holds even greater potential, especially considering the development momentum. Keep up the great work! Now I'm just waiting for 3.0 final, which hopefully will have more/better skins, like those in 2.11...

There isn't a way to reset the QuickTab settings, but you can visit www.keybreeze.com/quicktab to see my recommendations for configuring the settings.
