The Macro Recorder used to be included in the Keybreeze setup file. Starting in Keybreeze 5.0.4, it has been separated from the setup file and is now available as a separate download.
Why was it separated?
Unfortunately Windows Defender started flagging the Macro Recorder as a possible trojan. This is a false positive, and the issue has been reported to Microsoft. It was most likely flagged as a false positive because it exhibits symptoms that are similar to a trojan, e.g. it records your mouse clicks and keystrokes for a period of time. This is a necessary part of the Macro Recorder, and it's not something that can easily be rewritten. We are hoping that Microsoft can correct this false positive in a timely manner. If you are concerned about the Macro Recorder, feel free to scan it with another anti-malware utility, such as Avast! Antivirus, or download the source code to evaluate it or compile it with Microsoft Visual Studio. Please contact us if you have any concerns about the Macro Recorder, or if another anti-malware program is falsely flagging it.
